10 – 11 October 2026
About the Event
The Archives of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Malta will be opening their doors to the public during a special Open Archive Weekend taking place on the 10th and 11th of October 2026. This unique event offers visitors the opportunity to explore one of Malta's richest archival collections and discover the important role archives play in preserving the cultural, religious, and musical heritage of the Maltese Islands.
Throughout the weekend, visitors will have the rare opportunity to view original manuscripts and archival treasures connected to Benigno Zerafa, one of Malta's most important eighteenth-century composers and Maestro di Cappella of St. Paul's Cathedral, Mdina.
